We are proud to introduce our new Cornelia Connelly Bursary Programme, designed to empower young women and provide them with the opportunity to pursue excellence in education at Holy Child Killiney. It is named after our foundress, Cornelia Connelly. She believed that 'children learn best when taught with reverence and respect, and when they are actively engaged in their education'. For this reason the most important selection criteria for our bursary is an interview assessment of desire to be part of the life of the school. This, in conjunction with social need, are the key requirements for entry under the bursary programme. Applicants are not selected on academic, sporting or musical ability.
The programme offers a six-year Holy Child Killiney secondary school education. We currently offer two bursary places per year to a maximum of 12. Students entering Holy Child Killiney under the Cornelia Connelly Bursary Programme are covered for the annual school tuition fees. The Bursary may include additional expenses such as school trips and equipment.
Your support for the Cornelia Connelly Bursary Programme would truly make a profound difference in the lives of current and future students. By contributing to this vital initiative, you would directly impact the accessibility of education for motivated girls, helping them to become high achieving women. Your generosity would transform dreams into realities, enabling hard working students to pursue their academic aspirations and unlocking their full potential. Your support would not only foster inclusivity and diversity within our school community but also empower the next generation of female leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Together, we can ensure that no talented and determined student is held back by financial constraints, and that every girl has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Your contribution, no matter the size, will leave a lasting legacy of empowerment, equity and opportunity for generations to come.
