Building Our Future – Phase Two of our Development

In October 2018 we launched the Building Our Future campaign to support Phase Two of  the development of HCK. The ‘Building Our Future’ campaign is comprehensive in its scale and reach, impacting all of our students regardless of their academic preference and extra-curricula pursuits. This initiative will focus on the capital infrastructure which underpins our programmes.  By providing a state-of-the-art learning environment for Home Economics, Art & Design and STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), we will be able to provide teachers and students with the space and resources to thrive.

‘Building Our Future’ will deliver:
  • STEM Centre including laboratories dedicated to Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
  • Home Economics Learning Suite; and
  • Art and Design Room.
The estimated build date is February 2020.

We are looking forward to sharing the visuals for these exciting plans with you all. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for HCK to achieve facilities that future proof our students against developments in teaching and learning, and changes in employment.
The finance for this project will come almost entirely from the families and past pupils and friends of HCK. The state does not support capital projects in fee paying school. The estimated cost of the build is €2.6 million.
