May 2024 marks 20 years since the HCK Class of 2024 graduated. It is so hard to believe that it has been 20 years since we got the dart to school together, in our bottle green uniform, walking thought the corridors and climbing the rabbit stairs.

When Ms. O'Brien said we would be welcome to come back to HCK to mark our 20 year reunion and have a chance to take a trip back down memory lane, we jumped at the opportunity.

One by one as each girl walked into the library, the noise level grew and grew, as the shrieks of excitement echoed around the school. It was clear to say and hear that we were very excited to meet back up again! After an initial chit chat, Ms. O'Brien welcomed us back and took time to explain the gorgeous 'bag of blessings' that had been made for us by Ms. Mosielle and her very talented students. The bags were filled with so many thoughtful momentos to remind us of your special time in HCK.

We were divided up into groups where some 5th years girls volunteered to take us on a tour of the school. The warmth and security of the corridors felt the same as ever and transported us back to when we some of us started in J4 with Ms. Holmes, or 1st year or later on for 5th and 6th year. In other ways the developments in technology and advancements in infrastructure such as the school labs and sports hall were clear for everyone to see and were so impressive. I think the over riding feeling of gratitude was one that was expressed time and time again: gratitude for wonderful friends, gratitude for a beautiful school in a stunning location, gratitude for the opportunities we were given, gratitude for excellent teachers who taught and looked after us and gratitude to our parents for the foresight to send us to such a special school. Our time in HCK was a very special one and one we will cherish forever. Our 20 year school reunion gave us such a lovely chance to see our old school in all its current glory and recap over the wonderful times we had together as the class of 2004
