Alumnae News! |
Hi all,
I have recently taken over the role as Chair of the Holy Child Killiney Alumnae Committee from Aoife Miller. Aoife made a great success of the role and I am determined to follow in her footsteps.
I have been a proud member of the Alumnae Committee for many years and have always found it to be a positive and enriching experience.
I had a wonderful time during my six years in Killiney and have many happy memories from Latin classes with Mrs More O’Ferrall, poetry with Sr. Elizabeth and summer lunch times spent in the beautiful grounds. I made some great friends during my time there who are still my friends today.
After school I studied Law and graduated with a LLB (Hons) degree. I loved studying Law but decided that neither a career as a Solicitor nor Barrister appealed to me. Instead I went on to study for a post graduate diploma in Public Relations where I learned the value of good communication and use this knowledge in all aspects of my life. With this in mind I want to spread the word about our wonderful Alumnae and have written profiles of Alumnae such as Eavan Boland, Liz Nugent and Amanda Bone amongst others. I have also written various pieces about our previous Alumnae events including our Lunch in the National Yacht Club last year. These can be all found in the Alumnae section of the Holy Child Killiney website.
The Alumnae Association have organised many successful events, each one has proved to be a great opportunity to meet up and rekindle old friendships and also make new ones.
I look forward to meeting you all at future events.
