The sun shone on May 11 2024 for our Annual Past V Present Pupils Hockey showdown! The Past Pupils pulled together a strong team including Rosa Geoghegan, Sarah McFarland, Heather Miles, Cornelia Macnamara, Emma McCann, the Russell girls, Hannah Gerlitz, the Mathews girls and Deirdre, Mariead Quinlan, Claire O' Reilly and Zoe Hall. However it was the 2024 team that took the lead in the first half, Izzy Napier scoring a brilliant reverse goal. It wasn't long before the Past Pupils levelled up, and they created better chances in the second half. Cathy Green had her work cut out for her making numerous great saves to stop them from taking the lead. In the end, Elizabeth O'Donovan scored a perfectly executed 1v1 to secure the win for the Present Pupils for the first time since 2020. It was fabulous to see so many of our alumnae back and still playing such a high level of hockey, and we really enjoyed the catch up over tea and cake afterwards!
