Alumnae News! |
Our very own Sarah Healy, Class of 2019, qualified for the Tokyo Olympics this summer. This outstanding achievement is the result of many years of hard work and dedication. Her brilliant junior career is fast transitioning into senior level. Sarah ran a 1,500m personal best on her way to victory at the Folksam Grand Prix meeting in Gothenburg in June in a time of 4:07.78, number seven on the Irish all-time list. She went on to claim the national 1,500m title in 4:15.08 in June. Gold medal winner at the European U-18 Championships for 1,500m and 3,000m in 2018, and second in the 1,500m at the European U-20 Championships in 2019. And now to top it off an Olympian of whom we are very proud!
Balancing training and studying law in UCD, Sarah is also a valued member of both our athletics and hockey coaching teams and is a role model for everyone that she meets. The whole HCK community cheered Sarah on during this incredible experience.
